Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When in drive, my car loses all power. It will start fine, and drive fine for a short distance, then it will wont accelerate, then it just dies. I can drive it in second for a short distance then the check engine light comes on. Just wondering if you have any suggestions.

Go to Autozone its a free public service and have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
