neutral safety switch?

hello i have a 1982 pontiac grand prix and i was wanting to know where is the neutral safety switch located? and how do i put it on?

the neutral safety switch is located on the transmission, to take it out it simply unscrews.

This switch, connected to the transmission gear selector, is closed when the gear selector is in Park or Neutral. The switch is down by the transmissions gear selector arm.
