01' grand prix keys stuck. is there a rely on the shift knob

Is there a rely on the shift button that u depress to shift into park. My keys get stuck in the ignition just before the off position. I can get them out by sticking a straw in the hole under the switch. When i push the button on the shifter it used to make a clicking noise that sounded like a relay opening and closing. I no longer here that sound. Is there a relay on this button that that controls the ignition to tell the car it is in park
