I own a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am 88000 miles 6 cylinder. I got into start my car first the automatic headlights didn't come on then when I tried to start it it fired up then died right away. I waited then tried a again same thing. I had my brther tow it to my house we then checked all the fuses everything was fine. Also sometimes the insturments lights come on sometimes they don't. My driveway is pretty steep so I backed the car out of driveway on to a level service waited then tried again it tk a couple of time but it did start so I pulled back in the driveway let it run for awhile then turn it off and tried t restart. Nw it won't stay running again. Any Sugestions going crazy. Thanks Jason

Next time it dies out, immediately look for spark by disconneccting a plug wire and grounding it to the engine while cranking it over-Do you have spark? If so crank engine over again-this time listen to the injector/s whether it clicking if not you're not getting fuel. If you're getting fuel and No spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system till you get spark.

If you got fuel and spark and refuses to start next step is to check valve and ignition timing-
