Transmission problem
2004 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The transmission seems to take to long to shift. The engine does not have the power that it did and at time I smell gas.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Long delayed shifts are generally caused by low hydraulic pressure. Could be pump, or blockage in valve body.

Try changing the filter and fluid, if problem persists, have a dealer look at it.
