Starts, but does not rev, no lights?

2004 Pontiac Grand Am V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 40000 miles

Sunroof was left open during a rainstorm and it ran fine, but two days later this happened? Any suggestions?

It sounds like the throttle pedal sensor got wet, I would remove it and take a air dryer to it to help get the moisture out and if that doesn't work I would get a new unit, But first we can run the codes to see if any are stored which can help confirm the issue.

I would need to say I think it is the BCM because it hangs down low on the passenger side, it may have got wet and shorted it out. a CAN scan will tell us for sure. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
