You will have to get car scanned to retrieve error codes, most autoparts stores can scan "P" powertrain codes for free, but ABS and traction control codes are "C" chassis or "B" body codes. You would have to go to a professional shop for these codes.

Probably one the most common problems for grand am owners too. Check the ABD connects on both sides in the front behind the hub assembly, chances are there are lose or corroded. Clean them up good and tighten them up if they are loose (i've used duct tape). If they are are corroded, then you'll have to replace the hub assembly, its all one unit, hubs, bearings, and ABS conections. The rear brakes sensors are famous for failing as well, again check the connections.
