Fuel pump is in tank. First step is to check fuses, if OK, then hook up mechanical fuel pressure gauge to test port on fuel rail, turn key on, fuel pressure should be at least 40psi, if low, then most likely a restriction in system or clogged fuel filter. If none then pump or relay is bad.


You should hear fuel pump relay "click" when ign. is on, if not then relay, if "click" then pump is most likely bad or not getting power.

Use multimeter at fuel pump connector and measure for 12V, if no voltage then relay or fuse, if voltage is there then pump assy. is bad.
