I used to have the problem where my car would not start due to the passlock issue and i had to turn my car in "ON" position for 10 minutes with security light blinking. after 10 minutes it would start. my security light does come off and on peridically but the car never "dies"...just wont start. I now have a dead car but when I put the key in ON the securit light is NOT blinking and the 10 minutes doesnt matter. nothing when i turn the key. could this still be related to the security light issue since it's not blinking? last time it did this we tested starter and it was fine but THEN car started ok when we took starter in/out. any ideas?

sounds like you need a new passlock sensor. Sometimes a 10 minute relearn does not always work. It could take 30 minutes to relearn. 3 10 minute intervals
