I have a 2003 pontiac grand AM that has a popping noise coming from the front of the car where I'm at a dead stop and start to move forward as well as when I steer at times moving from a dead stop. There's also the sound of a spring over stretching coming from the front driver side. I've replaced the passenger side axle so far as I know that it was bad from the clicking sound. Could the sounds that I described be the lower control arms or rack and pinion?
