2003 Pontiac Grand Am Brake light

The Brake light is on while driving, goes on and off but when cruise control is on it applies the brake and shuts down the cruise.

its supposed to shut the cruise down by default, but as far as the lights being on while driving, it sounds like its partially stuck and may need to be replaced
