I have a rattling noise under the hood when I go over a bump. It just started and is only noticeable when driving at slow speeds. It seems to be coming from the driver side, maybe under the hood. It sounds almost like a creaking noise. I'm afraid the motor is going to fall out or a wheel will fall off! Also, when I drive in a confined area like an alley, I hear squeaking sounds coming from the wheels??
Any clues? I would like to have an idea before I go to a mechanic!

Raise car put on stands, grasp each tire and push/pull both horizontally and vertically, looking for any movement, which would indicate bearings, ball joints, bushings or loose struts.
