I own a 2002 pontiac Grand am, 4cyl, stick shift.
I am going through 2 to 3 quarts of oil a week to 2 weeks. I do travel 80 miles a day, 3 times a week. I have no idea where it is going. My 2 recent oil changes I went to 2 diffrent places and both places cannot find a leak or any kind of problem. I see no puddles or smell any burning oil. Also my coolant is oil free. The car runs and sounds fine and their is no indication of a problem besides my oil loss. With such a significant oil loss wouldnt this be any easy problem to spot? Nobody can seem to tell me what is wrong with my car. Any ideas?

Could be valve seals or rings, but if you do not find any leaks. It is burning it.
Seals will normally smoke on startup, or under high vaccum (such as 4000rpm in 3rd gear and lift throttle, you would see blue smoke out the exhaust)

You can check the rings with a compression test.

Make sure the PCV valve is working also.
