2002 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

I just finished replacing the front head gasket and after re-assembly the EGR valve is making a loud whistle sound and the motor runs very rough.

I replaced the EGR valve and nothing changed.

Your EGR is a linear positioning sensor-did you clean out the orifices/passages-also recheck for carbon on the on the EGR pintle EGR might be cracked open-
