The switch needs to be replaced. make sure and check the fuses for the cruise control too. they are located under the fuse panel on the passenger side of the car, open the passenger door and you will see it , it has a grey cover , it is on the side of the dash facing the passenger door. there will be 3 or 4 fuses for the cruise control, if you have the owners manual it lists which fuses are for the cruise control.
