the get up and go went over night. the car lost its pickup the RPM'S will increase while it barily accelarates. I checked the code and it read P0404 they told me at the auto part store it ment the EGR valve I replaced it and it didnt help. then I went to a muffler shop they checked the Catalytic Converter and they said it was clear and good. Where should I go from there? any ideas?

seeing as this vehicle has very high miles,the egr passage from the egr to the intake get plugged with carbon deposits and prevents the egr from working properly. might want to check that,also you need to command the egr open/closed with a scan tool to make sure it works,could be a problem with the circuit. post back with what you find.
