My daughter was driving my car and she said the steering just locked up while she was driving for no reason at all? Is that caused by the hub bearing being bad or what? I already replaced the passenger side half shaft on the car 2 days ago and noticed the hub bearing was bad in it while I had the car apart. So what do I need to correct the problem on my car so it will be safe to drive on the road and not lock up again.

She said that it was the steering that locked up on her. After sitting there for 15 minutes it acted fine and when I drive it the car acts fine for me.

The only thing I can think of is a loose belt or a bad pump.

Please have my theory confirmed. I hate to have people spend money when I'm not 100% sure.
