I have beeen going through alot anti-freeze this winter and I am not sure where its going? I haven't over-heated the engine at all. It runs great! But recently I have experienced a loud knocking and I've heard that it could be a water pump or a lifter what would you diagnose

Hello,

First you want to make sure that the engine oil level is correct. Low oil level can create nose of this nature.
If the oil level is good but still hear the noise, might want to check the oil pressure. If the oil pump does not provide adequate pressure, the upper part of the engine will not get oil and will make noise and can-do permanent damage.
The oil pressure can be tested using a test gauge. Which can be rented from your local auto parts store.
This engine should have 15 PSI of oil pressure at 1100 RPM.

Low oil pressure can be due to a bad oil pump. It can also be due to a clogged oil screen for the pickup tube.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
