1999 Pontiac Grand Am engine knock

When my engine is running at idle there is a constant knock and it seems to be coming from the top of the engine. But when the engine is at 1200 rpm or more the knock is gone and the engine runs smooth like theres nothing wrong.Can you help me out ?

Check the oil pressure if okay could be a lifter/s leakdown problem. When was the last oil/filter change?
