Electrical problem
1999 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive

Our '99 Pontiac Grand Am automatic door locks aren't working. We were recently having problems starting the car, so I changed the battery. Problem solved, but now the door locks aren't working. The chimes sound when you hit lock button, then you hear the familiar cliick of the locks with the horn, but the doors won't lock, Not even when you're driving which they should. Only manually locking/unlocking works. I changed the "DRL" relay (I assumed it meant dr locks) and nothing.

DRL means Daytime Running Lights.

I would have the battery checked at local autoparts store, if new it should be equal to or higher amperage than stock.
