what would the problem be If I have went through 3 power steering pumps in 6 months

All depends on wahts going wrong with them. Are they getting loud? Not pumping. Whats happening to them.

Are you going with a oem pump or a cheap aftermarket?

My dad kinda knows cars a little and he has done the work so far. But after we have went through so many of them he dont know anymore. I put a whole bottle of steering fluid in start the car. Within seconds it drains out to empty. My dad has checked the hoses and says they are tight. I have still been driving it with the hard steering and Lastnight out of no where the serpentine belt fell off and the car over heated

Is it a 4 cylinder engine? Or 6?

Your 4 cylinders or quad fours the power steering pump is ran off of the intake cam shaft.

I need to knwo what is going wrong with them before I can help you fix it.
