my 99 grand am, when i crank it in the mornings it runs fine. if i go anywhere and let it get up to operating temp and turn it off and restart it, it has a real erratic idle if i wait about 20 minutes it starts and runs. i have changed all 3 coil packs and the ICM. some one told me the plug wires would cause this is that true? if not can you help me

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? If it is temp related, the coolant temp sensor can cause problems? Without something to point us in the right direction, hard to tell. As far as spark and fuel, you need to do testing when the problem is ongoing.

As far as idle, you could check the iac and clean throttle-body.

changed the plugs about a month ago but didn't change wires. no trouble codes. it is getting fuel, changed the fuel filter the same day the plugs were changed.
