My car has been overheating.. Or at least I thought. it had all the symptoms, including the overflow tank lid boiling over. The gauge said it had been overheating. i had the system flushed, new thermostat. Still overheating. I took it to a mechanic and he did a few tests and said the car was running fine and the gauge was just off. the car would always heat up to normal temeperature and sometimes it would stay there for a few minits other times it would go past this and I would have to pull over. ( I never let the car overheating light come on) but it was as close as it could be. Is the mechanic wrong?
