I just replaced my power steering hoses because my car suddenly made an awful racket, and when I looked, the reservoir was completely empty. Now, the car has a low sounding hum. What's causing it, and does something else need to be fixed?

most likely just air. make sure it is full and turn the wheel back and forth. You may have to drive it a few mile also. this may take a few days.
