1997 Pontiac Grand Am key problem?

when i shut off my car, it's in park and sometimes my key won't come out. My battery light is on and the oil light. But i cannot turn the key to get it to come out.

Car has to be in Park to remove key, this is controlled by linkage and solenoid.

Best to have mechanic repair. Check your oil level.
