I have a Pontiac Grand Am GT with a 3.1 litre v6. It has one coil per two cylinders, my question is how do I test the coil packs to see if they are bad?

best way is to use a spark tester and check for spark.

if you are getting bright blue spark dont worry bout it. but if its sloppy and dull and different colors the coil is bad.

you can check with an autozone and see if you can bring it there and they will gladly test it for free.
