1997 Pontiac Grand Am fuel pump does not work

i replaced the engine with a 1998 model 3.1 the pump was working with the original engine the pump won`t even buzz now i can`t find the test lead in the wiring harness any suggestions

Start by checking fuse and relay.

GM uses terminal "G" of ALDL to test pump.
