1996 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

only when it put gas once it is on e and on a hot day and the smell comes though the air conditinor when its on and can be smelled long time after the car is off from out side by engine and cab, but there is no leak underneathe, what could it be?

You have a leak and you have to check
it may not be big for it to drip at the ground
check under the hood fuel lines and injectors

you need to have it checked

Risk of fire.

"Â Gasoline, methanol, and oxygenated fuels are toxic
and flammable and must be handled appropriately
