Hello, I drive a 95 Grand Am. It recently will not start. The battery is working fine, it just will not turn over, it just Click Click. I am pretty sure it is my starter, I was wondering if you could help me out on any ideas to get it started? I heard you can hit it with a hammer and iti should start. But I can not seem to find where my starter is located. If there is any way you could help, it would be much appreciated. Thank you, MIke D

Welcome to the forum, follow the positive battery cable. Down low, front side of engine?

So. Once I find the starter is it possible if I went along with rumors and hit it with a hammer to see if it would start?

Yeah, it is possible. I'd have to check for good voltage and ground at the starter. If that checks out and the engine isn't froze, I suspect the starter. Some of the national brand autostores will loadtest your starter. You have to take it off and take it to them.
