Check the pressure and return hoses. The pressure hose has bolted fittings, the return hose is usually clamped on. One or both are leaking.

hello again, thank-you for your fast response, but i found no leaks at connections or pressure lines.the fluid appears to be coming from the area where the steering column attaches to rack and the majority of the steering fluid is actually soaking the carpet on drivers side floor and filling the rubber boot where the column meets the firewall on interior side...any other suggestions? once again thank you for all and any suggestions.

i have checked the lines and connections and find that the p/s fluid is leaking inside the car. the location seems to be where the steering pinion goes into the firewall.the column rubber boot has alot of p/s fluid in it as well as the carpet. thank -you again in advance for any and all of your responses... bobjan2001@att.net

If the lines are not leaking or the pump, then the rack is leaking. It will have to be removed and repaired/replaced.
