My car stopped running got it started but was unable to shift from park without it dying after about 1hr the car ran fine

Well this could be many things, and the fact that it corrected itself and is fine now, just makes it worse.
You really need to have the car scanned for obd codes this will most likely give you an idea of what happened or if it is going to happen again.

Ok unless the engine light is on there is no reason to scan it as there will be no stored codes. However with it running fine there is nothing we will find at the moment either. So untill it happens again there is nothing for us to look for. Let me know if it happens again and we will see what we can find.
