How do I remove the turn signal flasher? It appears to be located behind the fuse panel on the left end of the dash. I haven't figured out how to get to it. I've tried removing the fuse panel itself - won't budge. I've tried removing the lower dash panel (under the steering wheel) and the aluminum panel underneath that - still can't get to it.

It is the GT. I'm not sure what it looks like because I can't even see it. I can hear it, and I can feel the "clicking" coming from behind the fuse panel on the left end of the dash. Fuse panel is accessed while the driver's door is open. Engine is the 3.1 liter V6.

Can anybody give me any ideas?

Hello,

The turn signal flasher on this car is integrated into the hazard switch, Here are some diagrams (below) so you can get the problem fixed. You need to remove the center panel of the dash where the switch is mounted and change it from the backside. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Your turn signal flasher relay should be behind the left side of the dash, right of the steering column.

Electrical problem
1993 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The turn signals quit working and I have checked the fuses. I can't find the flasher under the dash. Ther is absolutely no lights at all when you turn on the signals or the emergency flashers. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks so much.

the hazard and turn signals use separate relays so if both are not working than flashers are not at fault. most likely fault lies with fuse or turn signal switch.

my blinkers work if i flash them manually and my hazards work on their own. I bought a flasher fuse, but I can't seem to find where it goes. I looked under the dash everywhere, but no luck. Can you tell me where I might find it?

Thise a real pain in the neck to get to. Get yourself in a comfortable position and be persistent. It should be to the right of the column under the dash. I have sometimetimes not found them to be the same on every grand am in that era. It is there.
