Water pump is driven by timing chain idler sprocket and is mounted on rear of timing chain housing.
Disconnect negative battery cable.
Drain cooling system.
Disconnect oxygen sensor, and remove exhaust heat shields.
Remove exhaust manifold.
Disconnect outlet pipe from water pump cover, oil pan and transaxle.
Remove water pump nuts.
Remove water pump and cover assembly.
Remove water pump cover bolts.
