It cranks over. Runs for about 1 second then dies. Its getting plenty of fuel (high flow, I dont have a pressure gage) and has spark. Where should I look next. When it is running it sounds fine. I'm a grad from WYO Tech but this one has me stumped.

Have the ignition module tested at most autoparts stores for free.
Most GM engines must have an ignition reference or the pump will shut off.

I would also remove and clean the EGR valve.

If you have access to a scanner, scan in live data mode, look at RPM. If, when it dies, you are getting erratic RPM readings, then ignition module would be primary suspect.
