Quits running when in an idling mode, whether in park or at a stop light. Recently it quit when put into reverse. This does not happen on a continuous basis but can be in two week intervals. The car will always start right back up. The first time this happened the mechanic thought that it was missing so changed the spark plug wires and regapped some of the plugs.

It will run smooth at an idle then bog down to just when you think it is going to quit, then will start to run smooth again.......and back and forth, etc. I am taking it to a different mechanic on Monday and hope to have some ideas to give him. I have been told of checking some "sensors" and even getting some STP injector cleaner.

Any suggestions would be great.
