Hard to start

Six cylinder front wheel drive automatic 52,000 miles.

Car will not start without pushing a little on the gas pedal but runs fine other than that. What would be causing this? No problems when starting other than you have to push the gas pedal just a little.

It sounds like you need to service the throttle actuator. What happens is after many miles a dark goo accumulates onto the butterfly and makes it hard to start.
