Noises problem
2006 Pontiac G6 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My daughter has the above mentioned car, she has a noise that sounds like something flapping inside the car. The noise comes and goes in loudness but is there whether the car is being driven or sitting still. The noise occurs when all known devices are turned off (heater fan etc.) or on. The noise can be heard slightly when outside but it is loudest inside the car. To me it sounds like a piece of rubber caught on a shaft that is turning and the rubber flaps against something. Almost like a playing card put in the spoke of a bicycle wheel. Any clues anyone can offer me?

THat is a good one. Could it be one of the vent doors that is not working properly? Does it sound like it comes from under the dash?
