2006 Pontiac G6

I think I have the same problem. I hear a noise comeing from the right front of the car. Its not there when I am idel, so I doubt its engine related. It gets loader as I go faster. At first I thought it was a slipped belt, but there are no deformities to the tire, so now I think its the wheel bearing. Any idea what a repair like this might cost? Also, money is a bit tight, so I also wonder, what are the consquences if I don't get this fixed right way?

If the noise changes when you turn from side to side, chances are it's a wheel bearing. If a wheel bearing gets bad enough, it can bind and lock up. Also, it can cause damage to the spindel and other components.
