I'm looking at purchasing the above car for 2700. it has 108,000 miles. the seller said it needs an ignition module, headlight switch, battery. My main concern is the ignition module. How difficult is this to replace, how expensive? Is this module going to cause other problems? If so, what? Any other questions I should ask or concerns I should have? Also, is there a way to listen to the engine without this module in place? Thanks for any and all help. I apologize for my ignorance

The ignition Module is under the distributor cap and rotor. It's not really that hard to replace as long as you can get the cap off and remember which plug wires go to which contacts on the cap when you are done.

If that is an LT1, the distributor is camshaft driven, and a little harder to get at. But I think the ign module is external on that car. Go the link on the bottom of this page and sign up for Mitchell1 andit will help you find out exactly what you got going
