I have a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 model with about 50k miles. I have always taken good care of my vehicle, I do not abuse it and I always do extra maintenance on it every year. Recently the service engine soon light came on and I inmediately took it to get the computer diagnostic. Two errors came up:

PO 412 Air Switching Value A Problem

PO 418 Air Pump Relay Control Circuit Problem

Before I take it to a mechanic and get ripped off I figured I would come here first and ask how serious is this issue and a ballpark figure of how much would it cost to get it fixed. Thanks a ton for a any help you can give this Iraq war vet.

Respectfully,

Capt Carlos R Garrido ret.

Engine is 5.7 L V8 LS1 engine I believe

have you checked your fuses to the AIR system, it should be a 30-50 amp fuse if it is blown your pump is drawing to many amps

I have a wiring diagram of a 98 that might help you, but I need your e-mail because its in pdf format and this site doesnt use it
