1998 Pontiac Firebird key chip

The chip on my ignition key has worn and the car won't start hakf the time because it does not rcognize the key. How or where can I get a replacement key for it?

Hello. The best place and maybe the only place would be a pontiac dealership or any gm dealership should be able to help. Im gonna let you know right now that it will probably be $40 or more for the key to be made with the chip.
