Steering problem
1997 Pontiac Firebird Front Wheel Drive Automatic

hi , the key will not turn in the ign. i have no idea what to do.. wheel will move but feels locked .. has done that in the past but i was always able to get it unlocked ... can u plz tell me what u think it is and want i need to do .. im at a lost..

i have no picture of the car ..and not working but i can dnate 10.00 not much but all i can afford at this time ..

This happens sometime when the lock start to wear out and will need replacement.
Meanwhile, to unlock it, you ‘re going to need some lock lube. You can get that from auto part store or AutoZone.
Next, spray inside the cylinder, then insert the key and wiggle it .if it does not work, spray more, insert the key inside, using a hammer, softly hit on the key while you’re wiggling it, it will probably turn and unlock the wheel. You will be able to start you car.
Finally you will need to replace that lock so it won’t happen again.
