Engine Cooling problem
1996 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Automatic 130000 miles
Hi,
The temperature gauge in my firebird reads different sometimes. Most of the time it stays around the line between 160 and 210 degrees. Which I assume is about 185 degrees. The thermostat opens and closes but the fans don't come on. Rarely it acts normal and goes up to around the 210 degree mark with the thermostat and fans working normal. I changed out the thermostat figuring it was sticking. This didn't work and its doing the same thing. So I am wondering if there is some sort of temp sensor I should be looking for now?
Thanks
Joel
