My 96 firebird's low-trac light came on and went out after startup. When put into gear this light comes back on for a short time and engages Traction contol over the accellerator. I am unable to accellerate or move without it braking automaticly. It will then if not done manually but automaticly turn traction control off as well as the ABS and then allows me to drive down the road without any trouble without ABS or traction control on.

If the lights are on, there should be a code stored in the computer. Take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer. Mosst will do it for free, so there is no money out of pocket.
