Hi, I recently purchased a 95 formula with the lt1, 6pd manual tranny. When I take off from a complete stop, my car shakes a bit and the oil pressure drops and the car takes off slowly. The only way I can stop this from happening is if I rev the eng to 2k rpms before I let the clutch out.

also, when im gunning the eng in various gears, or pushing the rpms, my engine feels like it is hesitating and it usually takes 3k rpms to get the feeling of hesitation to stop and then the engine picks up again.

someone told me that the hesitation is a distributor that needs replacing. Also they say that I should just start off with a tune up.

anyone with any thoughts?

If you just got the car and don't know when the last tune up was, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Also, check for vacuum leaks, and make sure the catylatic converter isn't plugged up.
