1995 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Automatic 170000 miles

I have a 1995 firebird. Motor just got replaced on it because it wouldn't hold oil pressure. So I get it back and it's driving good. Until the next day. I turned it off and it wouldn't crank back. It smelt like it was rich with gas. It finally started and the rpms were over the four mark in idle. I have no clue what's wrong with it because it's still doing it and I can't drive it. It acts like it floods itself. Any ideas?

Probable causes of an engine running rich are as follows:

1. Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line or defective fuel pressure regulator.
2. Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3. Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4. Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5. Restricted air intake system
