So I'm walking home the other day and I see on the side of the rode this black Firebird for sale for $1,100. It looks like it's in pretty good shape except for a minor spot of rust here and there. So the next day I call the number on the car and the guy tells me the car is in perfect condition except for it needs a new radiator, which i figure won't be more than $500.
Upon doing some research, I found that the car has a history of other problems, including engine and transmission.
The kicker is that I need to drive the car from LA (where I am currently) to Chicago, and hopefully keep it running for atleast 3 years.
My question is, is it worth buying this car? Is it likely just a radiator problem? If not, is it going to cost me a fortune to keep the car running?
