1992 Pontiac Firebird My battery gauge is bouncing for unkn

1992 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 68 k miles

When I am driving my battery gauge is bouncing from 13 to 17.5A and I have no clue what can be the problem. When the gauge is bouncing all the electrical device such as the head light and the fans are having a boost.

I had this problem before. It turned out to be a bad alternator. You should take the alternator to a parts store and have it checked. Good luck :)
