The fuseable link for the coolant fan blew out. I replaced it but my fan no longer turns on. I thought it may be the thermostat so I replaced that aswell. Let the car warm up hoping the fan would kick on and instead the fusable link that I had just replaced turned red hot, melted, and caught fire. Wondering if this could be caused by the fan motor and if I replace the fan and fan motor would this solve my problem?

Sounds like the fan has alot of resistance due to a short, which caused the link to blow the first time and catch fire the next time.

Would changing the fan and fan motor solve this problem? Or would I need to replace those and the wireing?

Change the cooling fan motor should fix it, but it is possible the harness is grounding out also, check the motor and the harness.

Where is the wireing harness located? Is it fairly easy to locate? Or will it require alot of searching?

Wiring harness is the wires that go from an accessory to themain harness.

Just check the wires from the fusible link to the fan, aka the fan wiring harness.
