1989 Pontiac Firebird rough idle and jerking

I have an 89 pontiac firebird when i floor it, it starts to jerk and sound like its losing power. If i baby it it is fine and doesn't do it. It also has a rough idle and stalls when in drive with the brake on sometimes. waht could be causing this?

clogged fuel filter is the first thing i would check. restricted cat conveter?
